DIY: Custom Corner Desk with drawers

So I have an awkward corner space in my finished basement. When I visited my soon to be house at the time, the previous owners had an L shaped corner desk that fit in the space well. After moving into the house and after searching for weeks for the perfect desk, I decided that I was going to make my own desk. I spent about 1500 on material plus a new drill and impact drill set from rigid. I used a combination of oak plywood for the top as well as MDF for the cabinets, which was a new construction material for me. I have never attempted to construct anything like this before, so the entire process took me about 2.5-3 weeks of cutting, assembling, painting and finishing. It probably took me 1-2 weeks of fiddling with Google Sketchup to size the piece to fit into the space I had, allowing the folding doors enough space to open fully. Overall, I am very pleased with this custom piece, but I would be curious on how to do it again, perhaps with lighter weight materials for the shelves, and quicker in case friends or family wanted me to make them something for a custom space.
